What are Wimbledon Debenture Tickets?

Wimbledon Debenture tickets are a the only type of legally permissible transferrable tickets to the Wimbledon tennis championships, which that are issued by the All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC). A debenture is essentially a type of bond public security that can be purchased by members of the public, and in the case of Wimbledon Debentures tickets, the purchase of a debenture gives the holder the right to purchase hold a ticket for a specific seat at The Championships, Wimbledon for a certain number of years. The Debenture seats are premium seats located in the best locations on the Centre Court and No. 1 Court at Wimbledon, and they offer some of the best views of the matches.

Debenture holders have the right to sell their tickets to others, which has led to the creation of a secondary market for these tickets. Debenture tickets are highly sought after by tennis fans, as they offer a level of exclusivity and a guarantee of a seat for some of the biggest matches at Wimbledon. The revenue generated from the sale of Wimbledon Debenture tickets goes towards the upkeep and development of the Wimbledon facilities.

Please note that no other types of tickets issued by the AELTC for The Championships are legally permissible to be transferred, i.e. no reselling is allowed.

How and when will I receive my tickets?

Debenture tickets are usually released to Debenture Holders by the All England Lawn Tennis Club authorities four to five weeks prior to The Championships. The sellers will transfer your tickets to your myWimbledon account to the email address used to purchase the ticket(s).

Are there any fees associated with buying or selling tickets on this site?

We charge a competitive and reasonable fee to both the seller and the buyer, which is used to help us maintain our site and develop our service offerings on our platform.

What is the buyer's guarantee?

We ensure the validity of your tickets or provide a full refund. Should there be any concerns with your purchase, we'll strive to offer appropriate alternative tickets. In the rare instance the event gets cancelled without a reschedule, you can choose between a credit of 120% of your original payment or a complete refund.

Are there any restrictions for buying or using debenture tickets?

Debenture tickets are the only tickets, which are legally permitted to be transferred. There are therefore no restrictions on buying or selling (or reselling) them.

Please note that children under five years of age do not need a ticket to enter the grounds of Wimbledon, but are not allowed on the show courts and need to be accompanied by an adult.
